Can You Find What’s Wrong in This Picture on Route 302 in Windham?
I did a double-take when I drove by the newly installed road sign warning drivers that they are approaching an intersection with a traffic light. Something didn't look right, but then it dawned on me.
New Traffic Lights on Route 302 in Windham
Construction has been completed on the installation of traffic lights at the intersection of Route 302 and Albion Road. The new lights are currently functioning in flashing mode, where traffic on Route 302 has a flashing yellow light and Albion Road has a red flashing light. If you drive a car, you hopefully know what those signals mean.
The traffic lights will go into regular operation with cycling red, yellow, and green lights after Labor Day. This is good news with all the accidents that have happened at this intersection in Windham. However, I noticed one sign installed on the side of the road that doesn't look quite right.
Do You See It?
The road sign above is a warning to drivers that a traffic light coming up and to be prepared to possibly come to a stop.
Here's what a traffic light looks like. Red over yellow over green.
Now look at the sign again. Green over yellow over red. Oopsy.
Now I get it. It's easy to screw that up and the people that installed these traffic lights and signs put a lot or work into making sure everything works properly.

Techincally, the sign works. No one is going to misunderstand it's meaning just because the green light is on top. Just for reference, I did a quick little edit of my photo of the road sign to make it look the way it should.
I've only seen the sign heading west. I'm curious if the eastbound side has the same problem. No worries, guys. We all make mistakes.
