You didn't come here to fight, so stoppit. Actually maybe you did because you want to see if your own personal scores would add up with mine. I can promise they won't, but there's always that one percentage of locals who agree with me that red snappers just aren't it.
Best Foods in Maine Ranked
1. Blueberries. You will never change my mind that we are the luckiest humans in the world to live in a state known for their perfectly tasty blueberries. There's just something different about the blueberry barren's being accessible in our own state.
2. Lobster Soft Shell. Maine is king of the soft shell lobster. I don't care what anybody says, soft shell tastes better.
3. Jumbo Shrimp. A true beaut. Jumbo shrimp are one of my favorite foods and we seem to do that really well in this state. Especially at Salt Water Grille in South Portland.
4. Fiddleheads. Finding your dinner side out in your backyard? Priceless.
5. Oysters. Now this was hard because oysters in general I happen to think are pointless and I don't enjoy eating boogers. I also don't enjoy whoopie pies. I'd tie these two if I could, but had to make the decision that whoopie pies taste even worse to me.
6. Whoopie Pies. I'm sorry. This is the one you're going to fight me on and I get it. This has everything to do with fitness and personal goals rather than taste, okay? I loath them so much I one time wrote an entire blog about hating them:

Portland especially is becoming the foodiest town in the North East. I'll just end this by saying this, we didn't get that title from jamming whoopie pies down our throats.
