Saco Bay News says that the owners of Dizzy Birds announced their closing in an email to loyalty members. They will be closing, but not completely gone.

In the email announcing their closing at the end of December 2024, they did say that they will still have the catering business and are actually working on a franchise model. Not only would they come back, but they could come back in multiple locations! The franchise model would focus on some of the scratch-made elevated comfort food Dizzy Birds was known for. They are hoping to have their chicken pot pies available first.

They are grateful for the loyal customers they've fed over the past six years. In the email, Tom and Barb Peacock wrote,

Over the past 6 years, we have had the privilege of feeding so many wonderful folks who make up this welcoming community. We have been told numerous times that eating at Dizzy Birds is like enjoying the food from your grandmother’s kitchen. We have always felt that to be a gracious compliment and accepted it with pride.

I remember when Dizzy Birds first came to Biddeford. I was so amazed at the food and the fair price. I often got full meals, as it was a fun and delicious alternative to cooking. I wish Tom and Barb only the best and much success in creating a franchise model that will make their food available to more people!
