This iconic landmark on Main Street in Raymond, Maine is easy to miss if you aren't looking for it, but once you spot it, you'll think it's straight out of a fairytale.

"The House That Jack Built" was built in the 1930s and named after the nursery rime that you might remember as a kid:

This is the house that Jack built.

This is the malt that lay in the house that Jack built.

This is the rat that ate the malt
That lay in the house that Jack built.

This is the cat
That killed the rat that ate the malt
That lay in the house that Jack built.

And so on and so forth.

The building was built by the Foster family and purposely built crooked to make it look like it jumped right out of a children's book. Here's what it looked like not long after it was built from a postcard found on ebay.

The Foster family ran an ice cream and gift shop in 'The House That Jack Built' and was extremely popular, according to The Windham Eagle.

The house has changed hands between owners over the years but remains standing in Ramyond Village, as new owners know how much this building means to the people of Raymond and neighboring towns.

This is what the house looked like in 2007.
