Why Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is Closed For Two Days in June
For many visitors to Maine throughout the warmer months, a trip to the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay is a must. As New England's largest botanical garden, people can't help by enjoy the lush scenery, spectacular gardens and a chance to take a photo with giant trolls.
Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens prides itself on welcoming as many visitors to their property at they can. But for a pair of days in June, they're closing their doors to the public for a very specific reason.
Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is Hosting Antiques Roadshow in June
For nearly 30 years, Antiques Roadshow has been one of the most popular programs on PBS. The roadshow has spanned the country time and time again, looking for historic artifacts, gorgeous art and hidden gems people don't realize are valuable.
2025 will be season 29 for Antiques Roadshow and it will include a stop in Boothbay, Maine, on June 17 and 18. Access to Antiques Roadshow at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is a ticketed event.
This Will Be The First Visit to Maine For Antiques Roadshow
Despite being a state with rich history, Antiques Roadshow has never brought its traveling band of experts to Vacationland. There have been plenty of other stops throughout New England over the years but the Boothbay exposition will be the first in Maine.
If you didn't snag tickets to the Antiques Roadshow expo at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, you can expect to see the episode air on PBS a few months following the filming.
While filming typically takes place in a single day, editing and post-production of each episode can take several weeks to months before it airs.
