Study Says Maine People Are Frequent Farters on Airplanes
Whether you're traveling by boat, car, train or plane, there's a few rules of etiquette that every traveler should abide by. The problem? People are following those rules of etiquette less and less as days go by.
That's especially true inside airports and airplanes. As the rules for flying have gotten stricter and the prices for airline travel have gone up, people have begun to throw the rules of etiquette out the window.
Not all people, though. Solitaire Bliss released a study of the naughtiest travel habits in America and broke down the states by which states are the worst offenders.
Maine is One of the Most Polite States for Airline Travelers in America
According to the data Solitaire Bliss collected, Maine is among the 10 least-naughty states when it comes to airline travel in America.
Mainers respectfully follow the rules in airports. Rarely will you find someone from Maine arguing with airline workers, talking loudly on cell phones or consuming extremely fragrant food at a terminal or inside of a plane. All of that respectful behavior earned Maine a high score.
Maine is The Worst Offender of Passing Gas on Planes in the Nation
While people from Maine have held steady on many quality airport and airplane traveling habits, there is one piece of etiquette people from the Pine Tree State seem to be willing to ignore.
Data collected by Solitaire Bliss found that people from Maine overwhelmingly admitted to farting inside of an airplane versus people from other states. Maybe its nerves, a poor diet or the willingness to be honest about flatulence but if farting on a place is the worst travel habit Maine has, so be it.
