Two New Stores Open at the Maine Mall in South Portland

The Maine Mall in South Portland has seen a lot of action over the past couple months thanks an extended period of cloudy, rainy and cold weather. Typically, the mall sees smaller crowds in the spring and summer as people spend most of their free time outdoors.

Those increased crowds have been good for business and has allowed the Maine Mall to keep moving forward when it comes to filling vacancies. After the holiday season was over, there were a few changes and closures inside the mall.

Those closures have led to new openings with a pair of stores that might interest return visitors.

FP Movement Officially Opens in the Maine Mall

Free People moved into the Portland, Maine, marketplace only recently and has quickly decided to expand. FP Movement is the athletics offshoot of Free People and has officially opened next to BoxLunch inside the Maine Mall.

FP Movement offers a variety of athletic gear for women including active tops and bottoms and specific workout clothes that may be perfect for summer adventures.

Perfume De Lux Has Grand Opening at the Maine Mall

One space in the Maine Mall has seen quite a bit of turnover in the last year or so. Next to Showcase, the space started as the Toy Depot and then quickly was turned into a retail location for Squishables.

Both are gone and in its place is Perfume De Lux. As you might imagine from the name, it's a store that specializes in perfumes and colognes. This is not to be confused with the brand Parfumes De Luxe.
