New Asian Fusion Breakfast Spot Coming to Westbrook, Maine

For a city the size of Westbrook, Maine, you may be surprised at just how many breakfast options exist for hungry residents. There are sit down restaurants, there are grab and go joints and drive-thru options as well.

But it still appears the demand for new breakfast options is there. Especially when it comes to non-traditional menu options. Which is why a new restaurant called Wakie Wakie's is preparing to bring something new to the city.

Wakie Wakie's Will Offer an Asian Fusion Breakfast Menu

Located at 652 Main Street in Westbrook, Wakie Wakie's plans to the only Asian fusion breakfast place in the area. Wakie Wakie's hasn't given any specifics on menu items other than to say they'll feature organic coffee, acai bowls, smoothies as well as baked goods.

There may be some Asian-insprired flavor mixed into those offerings. Wakie Wakie's will likely feature a menu of other breakfast standards that have an Asian twist on them.

Healthy Food Options Are Becoming Popular in Westbrook

National chain Playa Bowls recently opened at Rock Row in Westbrook to significant fanfare. Their grand opening had a line of enthusiastic patrons encompassing the building.

Across the street, another chain similar to Playa Bowls called Oola Bowls plans to open this summer next to Chipotle. They also will offer smoothies, coffee, acai bowls and more.

When Will Wakie Wakie's Officially Be Open?

Right now, Wakie Wakie's has simply been teasing their grand opening without much detail. As they build out the spot that formerly housed Richie Ribeye, they will likely list a grand opening date soon.
