Remember during the pandemic, when people were resigning left and right?  At one point, we all thought we were going to die, so, easy to understand.

Now, however, according to Forbes.com, 2024 research shows that employee retention is up, with employees choosing stability over a "let's quit before the world ends" mentality.

It also helps if you like your employer.

The rating was based on a survey of 160,000 employees who worked for companies with at least 500 people in the U.S.  The employees were asked to rate their employer and here's how they ranked per Forbes.

There are 4 employers in New Hampshire that have landed in the Top 10.

5.  Concord Hospital, Concord, New Hampshire

The hospital was founded in 1891 and has just over 3,000 employees.

6.  Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire

Ah yes, the Ivy League school with alumni that includes Shonda Rhimes, Dr. Seuss and my own personal hero, Fred Rogers or Mr. Rogers Neighborhood.  Although, Mr. Rogers only went to Dartmouth for two years, according to exhibits.library.dartmouth.edu.

7.  Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester, New Hampshire

Find out about the current President Lisa Marsh Ryerson here.  The school was founded in 1932 and has grown by leaps and bounds.  From what I remember, it got in early in the "online classes" thing and now is a global education University.  SNHU has approximately 13,000 employees.

8.  State of New Hampshire, Concord, New Hampshire

The State of New Hampshire was founded in 1788.  Our Statehouse is located in Concord, New Hampshire.  Almost 22,000 people are employed by the State and our Governor is Chris Sununu, but only until January 2025.  From what I know of the Governor, he will be happy to be spending more time at home with his wife and family.
