7 Best Farms in New Hampshire and Massachusetts for Delicious Apple Cider Donuts
Apple Cider Donuts are SO New England
One of my favorite things in the whole wide world is a an apple cider donut. Truthfully, I've not had one yet that I didn't love. Here are a few in New Hampshire and Massachusetts farms that make them.
Cider Hill Farm, Amesbury, Mass
Cider Hill Farm in Amesbury makes their donuts fresh each morning. I have been there first thing in the morning when they are warm. At times like those with a hot coffee in my hand, I take out my gratitude journal and put that experience at the top.
Tendercrop Farm, Dover, New Hampshire
I have a sweet spot, pun intended, for Tendercrop. It is right down the road from the radio station, so we go there a lot for lunch and for fresh veggies on the way home. Every now and again, I'll cave and buy some of their delicious apple cider donuts.
Mann Orchards, Methuen, Massachusetts
You wouldn't expect a beautiful farm like Mann Orchards to be right off the highway, but it is. Not only do they have homemade apple cider donuts, but you have to try their pies. People order them way ahead of time for the holidays.
Apple Crest Farm, Hampton, New Hampshire
Apple Crest is a whole experience, especially in the Fall. Sometimes, the farm will hire a band to entertain their patrons while they enjoy actual apple cider and apple cider donuts.
Russell Orchards, Ipswich, Massachusetts
And you thought that Ipswich was only famous for fried clams? A beautiful farm that has so much more than just apple cider donuts. You should check it out.
Market Basket Getting into the Game
Even Market Basket is getting in on the Apple Cider Donut craze. I do love Market Basket and I am happy that I can get these bad boys when I go shopping there like 4 or 5 times per week, but there's nothing like a New England farm for the whole experience.
Mack's Apples, Londonderry, New Hampshire
Okay, this place is my favorite on the whole list. Nothing says Norman Rockwell New England more than Mack's Apples. Their farm stand is open all year 'round with all the seasonal things your heart desires. Late Summer is when Mack's begins production of the Apple Cider Donut and they are super duper yummy.
I admit, that I have a special place in my heart for Mack's Apple's. My husband and I got married in their orchards. We are very good friends with the owners, Andy and Carol Mack who, by the way, also served as our officiants in the wedding. Magic.
Maybe you can make it a yearly tour to go from one to the other. They are close enough to do so, but it's up to you. Personally, I like to spread them out to give each one of these beautiful New England farms the attention they all deserve.
Where did I miss? Where's your favorite place?
