Massachusetts Restaurant Featured in TV Show for Their Famous ‘Fireplace Feasts’
Normal restaurants are out - fun dining experiences are in.
And one restaurant in Massachusetts is serving up unbelievably good food with a unique experience attached to it.
The Salem Cross Inn, in West Brookfield, MA, offers what they call a "fireplace feast." And it is exactly what it sounds like - a massive feast all prepared right over the fireplace in front of you.
The fireplace feasts are ticketed events on select Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from November through April. And I cannot imagine a better winter or cold fall night out.
What exactly can you expect?
According to the Salem Cross Inn website, a "1700s style feasts, prepared on the open hearth of a great fieldstone fireplace."
While you wait for your feast, you can take a horsedrawn wagon or sleigh ride through the surrounding 600 acres.
Salem Cross Inn's fireplace feasts are so unique that they were featured on the Cooking Channel. According to the Cooking Channel's website, the Salem Cross Inn was featured in season three episode 11 of "Man Fire Food."
Now the feasts do come with a price tag - $89 per person. But that includes the food, the experience, the sleigh ride, and a date night that your partner will remember forever.
