Would You Want All New Hampshire Restaurants to List Ingredients?
When eating at one of your favorite New Hampshire restaurants, do you want to know what is in your food?
The obvious answer, at first, may be a yes. But do you REALLY want to know what is in your food 100% of the time?
The classic example I like to think of is a hot dog. (And there are some great hot dogs in New Hampshire.) I, for one, do NOT want to know what is in a hot dog. I'll eat it in my blissful ignorance.
Recently the famous Chick-fil-A sauce recipe was leaked and some people are turned off by it. Whether it be because the sauce has too much mayo, sugar, lemon juice, etc...it does not matter.
Once you know what goes into the food you eat, it changes the way you think about it/if you can continue to eat it.
Although I take care of my body, eat well (ish), and work out, when I go out to eat somewhere in New England, I do not want to know anything.
I don't want to know how much salt is in my pasta. Do not even THINK to tell me how much butter you used to cook my meat.
When I go out to eat I accept that I am eating whatever the chef uses - and 99% of the time it tastes delicious.
Sure, we absolutely have a RIGHT to know what is in our food, but do you REALLY want to know 100% of the time?
