Have you seen Portland Maine's historic duck house?

It is in desperate need of renovations and repairs due to harsh weather, rotten wood and other factors, according to our news partner WMTW. The duck house has been in Deering Oaks since 1886.

As you can see in the video below, it is popular with our feathered friends who probably don't mind that their more than 100-year-old house in an eye-sore.

WMTW says Portland's Parks and Recreation Department is giving the duck house a "facelift" before spring. Among the renovations, the department is fixing the roof and painting the outside of the house.

The repairs should be done by May and the house will be put back into the pond, so the ducks can enjoy it once again.
