It was 40 years ago this week at the Central Maine Youth Center  in Lewiston! The one and only Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band made their second trek to the Pine Tree State on March 19, 1977. What a way to kick-off springtime in Maine, eh?

On this date in 1973 just two months before your Blimp was born, Bruce Springsteen released his debut album Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ.

41 years ago today, Bruce Springsteen released his historic breakthrough album Born to Run. The collection of songs centered on love, freedom and coming of age in his home state of New Jersey. It spoke directly to our teenage hearts.Born to Run was an album that young Americans everywhere could relate to.

I’m back at Gritty’s in Auburn tomorrow for another 'last Friday' live broadcast of the WBLM Afternoon Express! We love coming back to our roots and sharing memories with area Blimpsters who have been with us since the beginning. Of course the biggest ‘remember when’ stories are all the great concerts that came to Lewiston/Auburn back in the day.

U2 performed in a cold Times Square last night for World Aids Day and to support RED. Bono wasn't there because he is still recuperating from getting banged up in recent bicycle accident. But there was someone available in the neighborhood.
