Maine Restaurant Week is a 12 day Eat-A-Thon to support our incredible restaurants, pubs, cafes and diners during the most difficult time of year for them.

Maine Restaurant Week is my favorite time of year for celebrating the bounty of talented chefs and pleasant restaurant staff here in Staycationland.

The top buttons on our L.L. Bean jeans were released as we tasted our way through the best breakfast offerings in Maine at The Incredible Breakfast Cook where 250 attendees tasted 12 delicious breakfast dishes and cast their votes for the tastiest offerings.

A recent article in the Portland Press Herald really pressed my hot button, it was about noisy restaurants, the bane of my existence! Now that I'm a bit older, I've got a little disposable income to throw at our amazing local restaurants. But they are SO freaking loud inside that I have sworn many of them off.

Maine is flush with with fresh fish, meats and produce, making our restaurant scene one of the country's most vibrant.

2016 sure was challenging, and as things spiraled and more people passed away and the world seemed crazier and more dangerous than ever, I took a breath. The past year wasn't all bad, some really great things happened in my life and around the world...
