Calling all Friends of the Blend. Today we remember the great James 'JD' Drown on his 70th birthday. He was born in Arundel on February 22, 1947. JD is best remembered as the visionary front man for the legendary Maine and New Hampshire band, The Blend (originally White Mountain National Blend).

Folks all over the country and the world are raising their voices about issues that are important to them and Portland, Maine is no exception. Last Sunday in between many protest marches, the chanting turned to singing.
