In June, my neighbors in Westbrook were all buzzing about the sighting of a 10 foot snake with "a head the size of a soccer ball" that was reportedly last seen by a police officer along the Presumpscot River eating "a beaver".  Over the weekend there was another big snake sighting in Maine, this time in Biddeford. According to the Portland Press Herald, the police were called Saturday night by a woman checking in on a vacant house. It was a large black snake identified as a python. Since we named the Westbrook snake, "Wessie". We should probably call this "Biddie", right? Well, at least this one has been captured. Wessie remains on the loose. And hey Biddeford! Our snake's bigger than your snake. Ha!
