Today was another wild ride through the psychedelic side of your Blimp Archives with our guest DJ, and dear friend, Andrew Govatsos. The show started with Vanilla Fudge and the photo below is of Andrew in his Nehru jacket playing the organ part to "You Keep Me Hangin' On"!

Other highlights were:

  • Spirit's "Taurus" which was in the news this week with bass player Mark Andes taking legal action against Led Zeppelin for ripping off the lick for "Stairway To Heaven".
  • The 20th anniversary of Pink Floyd live in Foxboro! We played "High Hopes" and "Astronomy Domine".
  • We also made sure to play some Beatles to celebrate the news that Paul McCartney is expected to make a full recovery after contracting a "mysterious virus" in Japan this week. We played "Lovely Rita" and "Helter Skelter".

Tune in and space out next Saturday for another WBLM Psychedelic Breakfast! Here's Vanilla Fudge performing live in 1968. No lip-synching here my friends!
