I don’t know about you, but I love to see a good pumpkin smashing this time of year. The folks up the road from us really know how to do it!   The 2016 Damariscotta Pumpkinfest goes on through today. According to their Facebook page, folks didn't let a little rain get in the way of the pumpkin derby and pumpkin paddle boat race yesterday. Today's fall weather is perfect for this year's pumpkin drop happening this afternoon. Last year, a 1,200 lb squash was dropped from 180 feet in the air on to a Dodge Caravan. Can't wait to see if they can top it this year! Watch this awesome video from the Boothbay Register of all the high-flying, crashing, smashing, crushing glory!
