We are officially in summer mode here in Maine. While the weather is a little slow to catch up, we Mainers aren’t about to wait to start enjoying everything the season has to offer.

I'm always amazed when people actually leave Maine during the summer. Isn’t this the time we’re always waiting for? It’s a three-month stretch (if we’re lucky) of perfect decent weather, warm lakes, cold cocktails, and plenty of patio time. Why on Earth would anyone leave?

There is Plenty to do in Maine during the Short Summer Season

It’s a short season, but it’s sweet. I try to cherish every single day before the weather starts to turn. That means cramming in as much as humanly possible in a very short window.
