We scoured the state for some fine foods that may peak your palette- something new to try and perhaps buy again! From simple ingredients like salt and flour to a produced delicacy like sauerkraut and fine chocolates.

Some of these establishments have been around for years while others may be just getting their start in the buildings they sell out of. But, one thing that brings their mission together is to provide you with great food that whets the appetite.

We wanted to focus on retail locations that made their own unique product but, soon found that not including specialty grocers would be a disservice to this list.  So, we provided these establishments as well.

Local grocers offer an opportunity for local Maine producers and growers that large grocery chains can't so, we wanted to be sure that you had the opportunity to know where these particular stores are, too, so you can really get exposed to the amount of locally produced foods here in the State of Maine by including these local grocers on our list.
