A 1950’s Style Sock-Hop Is Happening In Falmouth This Weekend
Falmouth is celebrating it's 300th anniversary this year, including time traveling back to the 50's when hundreds of teens would gather and dance to the tunes being played on a record player by a DJ. To make sure the records skipped less, the teens would take their shoes off, hence the name 'Sock-Hop.'
This Saturday night Lunt Auditorium at Ocenview will be transformed back to a 50's style club where you'll be able to do the mashed potato, the twist, the jitterbug, the bunny hop, the jive...you get the idea.
Admission is $10, $8 for Falmouth Historical Society members. The fun starts at 7pm and 50's attire is encouraged. All proceeds benefit the Falmouth Historical Society.
