NEWS CENTER Maine activated their Storm Center on Saturday

The first real snow of the season hit Northern New England on Saturday, with areas scattered across Maine and New Hampshire getting hit with anywhere from a couple of inches to over half a foot. Meteorologists across Northern New England were all over coverage, but not all of them had to deal with one reporter did.

Jackie Mundry was live in Portland's Monument Square

What better setting to come to Mainers live with their first Storm Center report of the seaso, than right next to the fully-lit and decorated Christmas tree in Monument Square, right? You'd think so, which is why NEWS CENTER Maine sent Jackie Mundry there to report on the conditions as they were happening.

But she didn't expect some punk kids to be part of the "conditions" she was dealing with during her report.

Snowballs were thrown at Jackie and her cameraman during the live shot

From before the live shot even started to right when it ended, some rude, disrespectful, punk kids (although only one kid was shown on camera) thought it would be a good idea to start throwing snowballs at Jackie and her cameraman. In fact, Jackie's live shot starts off with a toss from the studio, where she's immediately shown both trying to do her job while also bracing for impact at any moment from snowballs being hurled her way.

Jackie can be seen from another camera walking toward the direction that the snowballs were coming from, perhaps to tell those kids what inconsiderate little punks they were being with a clear disrespect to anyone but themselves (and if she didn't, I wish she would've.)

Knowing how this probably came across to the viewer on camera, Jackie immediately mentioned the snowballs being thrown. For the next 45-50 seconds of her live shot, Jackie can be seen repeatedly keeping an eye out for incoming snowballs and referencing them a couple of times as well. After the live shot ended, Jackie can be seen from another camera walking toward the direction that the snowballs were coming from, perhaps to tell those kids what inconsiderate little punks they were being with a clear disrespect to anyone but themselves (and if she didn't, I wish she would've.)

To those kids -- just remember, karma always comes around and Santa is always watching. Someone is bound to recognize you and your lack of respect, and hopefully it has a negative impact on what Santa decides to drop off under your tree on Friday night. Somehow, consequences to actions have become a loss art in the last handful of years.

To Jackie -- you handled yourself with absolute professionalism while unexpectedly being dropped into a mix of a high school game of gym class dodgeball and a snowball fight. Don't think it didn't go unnoticed. And honestly, with the way you dodged those flying chunks of snow, you may have a future in the sequel to The Matrix Resurrections, should one ever be made.
