The rain yesterday was a real pain in the butt!

It is safe to say that the weather was a buzz kill yesterday, although that didn't stop the crowds from coming out for the Luke Bryan show last night, it was however enough to put a stop to the opening day of the Bangor State Fair. All good, you can rest easy knowing that today is supposed to be sunny and warm, and they will get things cranked up at 12pm today.

The 2021 Bangor State Fair runs today from 12:00 PM – 11:00 PM, Saturday 12:00 PM – 11:00 PM, and wraps up Sunday from 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Entry is $5 per person. Children under 3 get in free. Parking is also free.

Today, the University of New England’s pharmacists, along with student volunteers are working with Northern Light Health to get you the covid vaccine. They will administer Pfizer and J&J shots, from 1 pm-3 pm, they will also be available for any questions you may have.

Everyone is ready for a little fun at the Bangor State Fair, but things are a bit different this time around. The following events will not take place this year:

Demolition Derby
Truck Pulls
Tractor Pulls
Old McDonald Farm
Independent Vendor Midway

The list of rides has changed as well. Still plenty of fun to be had this weekend!

Giant Wheel
Pharaohs Fury
Arctic Bobs
Zipper
Tilt a Whirl
Tempest
Super Slide
Sky Diver
Raiders
Tornado
Mardi Gras
Train
Kid Power
Kiddie Rockets
Kids Spin Ride
Kids Chair Swing
Merry go Round

Have a great time at the fair! Grab a doughboy and enjoy!
