One of TV’s most beloved fathers has sadly passed away. Reports confirm that John Mahoney, best known for his role as the curmudgeonly Martin Crane across eleven seasons of Frasier, died in Chicago at the age of 77.

A music legend and iconic TV star alike has sadly left us. Actor-singer David Cassidy, best known for his place among The Partridge Family, has passed away at the age of 67.

Carrie Fisher, actress behind both Princess and General Leia, has passed away at age 60. The revered actress and comedic presence had earlier suffered a heart attack en-route from London to Los Angeles.

In what may turn out to be one more giant hardship for 2016, troubling reports are coming in that Star Wars legend and all-around icon Carrie Fisher may be in critical condition. Fisher reportedly suffered a “massive” heart-attack aboard an airplane, and has been rushed to the hospital.

As 2016 seems to be an unendingly cruel mistress, another beloved TV parent has left us behind. Alan Thicke, actor behind Growing Pains patriarch Jason Seaver has passed away at age 69. The acclaimed sitcom star had only days earlier made a surprise cameo in the second season of Netflix’s Fuller House.
