For many communities in Maine, Halloween will feel a lot different this year. Many people feel uncomfortable participating in traditional trick-or-treating, leaving kids without their usual reason to costume up and bring in a haul of candy. Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough is looking to help fill the void of walking through your neighborhood by offering up their first-ever 'Track 'n Treat' event which is free to everyone.

Shared on Facebook by Beech Ridge Motor Speedway, the event will take place at the speedway on Halloween day. The event will include more than 30 cars familiar to Beech Ridge, from drag cars to go-karts. Kids will have an opportunity to grab photos will all of the vehicles as well as trick-or-treat at each car, receiving a grab bag of pre-packaged candy that they can safely enjoy later in the day.

Beech Ridge plans to hold the event from 2pm to 5pm on Halloween day. If there's rain, they'll push the event to November 1st with the same times. A commenter on their Facebook post asked about lines and waits and it appears Beech Ridge will extend the time of the event if there are lines so that all kids can enjoy the experience.

So get those costumes and candy bags ready, there are still ways to Halloween, even in 2020.
