Partners for World Health is a Maine-based organization that collects and redistributes surplus medical supplies to those in need. Support this important non-profit by attending Blue Wrap Runaway on May 16th.

Partners for World Health collects much needed medical supplies that would otherwise be thrown out by hospitals, clinicas, hospices and private citizens. Do you have an air cast, crutches, walker or other medical device that is gathering dust? PFWH can find someone who can benefit greatly from it.  If you have been a caretaker and have a medical bed or other large items, PFWH can pick it up from your home. Visit their website to make a donation.

A fabulous night of cocktails, live music and fashion will take place at USM's Abromson Center Thursday May 16 at 6 p.m.. Tickets are $75 and available at partnersforworldhealth.org., where you will also find information about donating and volunteering for PFWH.

You'll see some amazing designers create fashion from "blue wrap", a one-use fabric used to maintain the sterility of surgical instruments in operating room. Among the designers at the event will be Kahindo Mateene, a contestant from Season 12 of Project Runway.
