After all the speculation of why the giant Tom Brady banner was put up at Gillette Stadium last week, it has now been taken down by stadium officials.

Jonathan Kraft joined the Patriots Radio Network before the season opener Sunday night and said that the banner was to show support for suspended quarterback who will be away from the team through October 2nd.  Kraft acknowledged that he and the team feel like the punishment was unjust, but would be removed after kick-off on Sunday night.

The team was true to its word as they brought down the giant banner that was attached to the ‘lighthouse’ at Gillette under the cover of dark.
