There is nothing quite like the thrill of engagement. Making the leap from girlfriend/boyfriend to fiance is something that most people dream of growing up. The ring is just a small part of it in the grand scheme of things but it can hold so much meaning for a material object.

It's a reminder of the day of engagement. The love that you and your partner share. For some, it's a family heirloom. It can hold so many dreams for the future.

Sadly for one Maine woman, the ring went missing over the weekend. In a post shared by her fiance Ryan, it was lost somewhere on the Back Cove Trail Saturday afternoon between noon and 3 pm.

With so many eyes and feet on Back Cove, here's hoping it gets spotted and the ring is reunited with its rightful owner so the pair can go back to focusing on the journey ahead.
