I discovered "Maine Cabin Masters" last year and immediately felt a kinship to Ashley, Ryan and Chase. They are regular Mainers who agreed to take a film crew to work with them as they fix up cabins all over Maine. They are full of piss and vinegar and Yankee ingenuity. I had an opportunity to take part in the filming of a reveal for next Friday's Maine Cabin Masters episode that was filmed at Glidden Point Oyster Farm in Edgcomb.

I enjoyed a cold glass of wine with Ashley when we wrapped and I gifted her with a Jerry Garcia glass to hang with me and my Dave Grohl glass. He never misses a party with me.

Ashley works with her brother AND her husband, can you imagine?! I love that she always adds something personal and sentimental to every design. It's that detail that adds so much warmth to her spaces.

Can we talk about Jedi's beard for a minute?

First of all, my husband can't grow a beard so I have a sort of weird obsession with them. Jedi was a good sport and very graciously let me enjoy his glorious beard. The entire Maine Cabin Masters crew was a blast, catch them every Monday night on the DIY channel.

The sun set over beautiful Damariscotta River, the signature M.C.M. fire pit was cranking and Ryan and Brianna had a gorgeous new artist's retreat to entertain in. I look forward to watching next Monday's episode to see how the process took place. It was very cool to be at the reveal and meet some hard working, hard playing Blimpsters that make living in Maine the special experience that it is.
