After the sun goes down on Saturday, December 11, if you're anywhere near Portland Harbor, you'll see the perfect display of lights for the holidays out on the water.

The annual Portland Harbor Parade of Lights kicks off around 4:45 p.m on Saturday where you'll see a parade of boats cruising through the harbor all decked out in lights for the Christmas season and wrap up with a giant fireworks display.

There are lots of places along the harbor to catch the parade like DiMillo's Marina, the Maine State Pier or you can buy a ticket on a water taxi and get an up-close view.

The good news is that you won't be freezing your butt off on Saturday night. There might be some rain after a start to the say with freezing rain, but News Center Maine meteorologist Keith Carson says temperatures might get up near 60.

So bring some rain gear or find a place along the water indoors with some big windows and get into the spirit of the season with the Portland Harbor Parade of Lights.
