The Boston Celtics knocked off the Miami Heat Sunday night 112-108 and the victory leaves them just percentage points behind Cleveland for the top spot in the Eastern Conference.

The Celtics are 48-26 - equaling the number of wins last season. The Cavs are 47-25 which gives them a winning percentage of .653. Boston's percentage is .649.

Isaiah Thomas scored 30 points. Jae Crowder had a season-high 25. And, Marcus Smart did he usual defensive things to help seal the win at the end.

Tyler Johnson had 24 for the Heat. Hassan Whiteside had 19 points and 15 rebounds.

The C's have eight games left on the regular season schedule.
