Changes Could Be Coming to Maine’s Bottle Bill

According to the WGME.com, Maine's Bottle Bill could be changing. The refund value of wine and liquor bottles is 15 cents, all other bottles are 5 cents. There's a 10 cent difference between my wine and water bottles. Why? A Republican state representative is sponsoring a bill to implement a uniform refund value of five cents.

Maine was one of the first states to pass a bottle bill and not only has it made our state cleaner, but it has created jobs and generates over a million dollars annually for the State of Maine.
