Coronavirus Drive-Thru Testing Is Available in South Portland

According to the Portland Press Herald, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield is providing drive-thru Coronavirus testing in South Portland to those who meet criteria for it.

Though this is a drive-thru testing facility, you can't just drive up and get tested. You must first be evaluated by a ConvenientMD provider over the phone.

The evaluation line number is (207)-358-7400 and they are open from 8a.m. to 8p.m. seven days a week, the newspaper states.

The testing site is set up at Anthem's offices at 2 Gannet Drive in South Portland, off Cummings Rd. by Target, according to the Press Herald.

Anthem is waiving all associated fees for members including: the cost of the test, any safety equipment, co-pays, insurance co-pays and deductibles.

This is the safest testing system for all involved; the patients, employees of Anthem and the community. This greatly reduces visits to the Emergency Room and local hospitals.
