Boston Celtics first round draft pick Guerschon Yabusele has signed a deal to join the Maine Red Claws of the NBA Developmental League, according to reports.

Yabusele is a 6-8 power forward that was drafted by the Celtics at the 16th overall selection this past summer.  The french player had spent most of the winter playing in China with Shanghai Dongfang where he averaged 20.9 points per game in an average of 30 minutes a contest.

The Red Claws have just six games remaining on the season, with the Maine side hosting Eerie on Friday night.  Maine is in first place in the Atlantic Division with a 3.5 game lead.

Yabusele was drafted along with Jaylen Brown and Ante Zizic in the draft last year by the Celtics in the first round.
