Christmas is a time for giving. That means it's time to head to your local pet adoption center and give the gift of a new home to a sweet animal who needs it.

There's not a better time of year to provide an animal those new digs. Plus, your family will love you for it. And, as someone who has rescued pets his whole life, these sweet angels will love you unconditionally, forever.

Now, these little angels may not be ready until the New Year, but still deserve your attention now.

What kind of monster just leaves a litter of puppies on the side of the road?

Thankfully for these puppies, a Good Samaritan found them and contacted the wonderful folks at Pittie Posse Rescue and Sanctuary here in Maine. The 3-week-old puppies are now with a foster family, and will make their way north after they reach 8 weeks.

The seven babies already have some pretty great names: Belle, Bronco, Dallas, Ladybird, Ranger, Boots, and Blue (YOU'RE MY BOY BLUE).

Pittie Posse has already started sending money for the puppies' care down in Texas. However, it's not cheap, considering there are seven siblings. Plus, they note that the foster family already has 35 dogs on the property. So, Pittie Posse posted info on how we can help the puppies by donation. You can read more about that here.

According to Pittie Posse, the puppies should be available for adoption by the end of January. To inquire or to find out more info about the amazing work that the rescue and sanctuary does, visit Pittie Posse's website.
