If you're a fan of the hit TV show "The Walking Dead," you'll be interested to know that an actor that plays a key character on the show recently moved to Maine!

Xander Berkeley, who plays Gregory on the zombie apocalypse series, decided last year that it was time to leave Los Angeles, where he had been living for almost forty years, and move to the much quieter and more peaceful state of Maine.

In a recent interview with KTLA TV, Berkeley gushed about how much he loves life here in Northern New England.

But just because he left L.A. for the northeast, that doesn't mean that Xander is giving up acting. In fact, he hopes to continue with his career, by taking the work here.

He is currently renovating properties to make film locations to bring film to Maine.

And, he's hosting a special screening of his latest project in Portland next week. "The Maestro," a dramatic biopic about famed composer Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, will be shown at the State Theatre next Thursday, June 13th.

It looks like Xander will be at the screening, and you just might get a chance to meet him!
