According to WMUR, signs have gone up in Manchester, New Hampshire addressing panhandling, that read, "Your generosity could lead to a fatality." Local police are asking that people not give money to panhandlers, and instead suggest three community charities that benefit homelessness and hunger: New Horizons, Child and Family Services and Families in Transition. The Manchester Police Department is trying to fight the drug crisis. According to M.P.D., between June of 2015 and this year, 24 panhandlers have OD'd and six have died.
