It's pretty difficult to do anything these days that's 'under the radar' if your name is Donald Trump Jr., but somehow he managed to do just that at the end of September. Trump Jr., known to be a fanatical big game hunter, made his way to Maine rather discreetly and managed to bag himself a massive, nearly 900 pound bull moose during Maine moose hunting season.

Shared on Facebook by Dick Scorzafava, Trump Jr. can be seen proudly posing over his bull moose, managing to nab the massive animal with a little help from some friends. The bull moose Donald Trump Jr. bagged weighed in at 870 pounds. Trump Jr. reportedly ventured deep into the Maine woods during his moose hunt, patrolling the woods near the small towns of Hersey and Patten.

The story of Trump Jr.'s hunt was confirmed by another person on Facebook. Shared by Robert Kaffel, a different angle of the fallen majestic beast was shared. Kaffel added that the moose was killed in Stacyville and tagged at Shin Pond, and that the full story will be released in about a month.

Unquestionably, Donald Trump Jr. is a polarizing figure in American culture. After the photo of Trump Jr. with the bull moose began to circulate, many people had questions as to how Trump Jr. would have acquired a permit to hunt moose in Maine. After all, many native Mainers have been waiting for decades for the opportunity to hunt a moose.

According to Maine.gov, the answer may be in the provision that allows a permitted hunter to choose a subpermittee to hunt with them. There are no laws that prohibit a permitted hunter from welcome a subpermittee that may be the 'highest bidder', and while there's no confirmation this is how Trump Jr. obtained the opportunity, it's the most likely scenario.
