
Drew Brees & Saints Give Falcons First Loss, 31-21
Drew Brees threw for 312 yards, and the Saints beat the Falcons, 31-21, in New Orleans on Thursday night, giving Atlanta its first loss of the 2015 season.
Tight end Ben Watson caught 10 passes for 127 yards and a touchdown for New Orleans (2-4), which jumped out to a 14-0 first-quarter lead that it never relinquished.
Saints running back Mark Ingram ran for two touchdowns, and teammate Michael Mauti blocked a punt and recovered it for another score.
Falcons’ running back Devonta Freeman carried 13 times for 100 yards and a 25-yard touchdown. Matt Ryan threw for 295 yards and two scores for Atlanta (5-1).
