Exciting New Asian Fusion Restaurant Window Opens in Portland’s West End
A new Thai restaurant has officially opened its doors...er window in Portland.
Yordprom Coffee Company announced it has opened its latest venture, Tobi Asian Fusion Takeout. The new restaurant is located close to Yordprom in the West End, on Walker Street.
Tobi is located in a takeout window, originally occupied by Figgy's Fried Chicken. Figgy's closed down back in early July of 2021. Since then, the building had been vacant. Now it's buzzing again with a new concept.
The foodie website Portland Food Map, has already gotten hold of the menu, and it looks delicious. The menu has a selection of starters and entrees, ranging from rice and noodle dishes, to deep fried pork cutlets and dumplings. The menu also includes vegetarian options, featuring tofu and fresh vegetables.
The location is a great one, especially during the heart of tourist season. The takeout window is right off Congress Street in the West End. It's a solid walking area, with many other restaurants, bakeries, and marijuana dispensaries nearby. It's also an ideal location for the staff, considering Tobi shares the building with its sister shop, Yordprom.
I am very much looking forward to giving Tobi a try. Yordprom Coffee is already a fixture in the "Sedenka Rotation" for its incredible espresso and lattes. I can only imagine there are some absolutely banging Asian dishes being served out. There's no question Tobi will get a visit very shortly.
According to Portland Food Map, Tobi will be open Tuesday through Saturday, from 5-8pm. You can follow Yordprom's Instagram page for future news about the new restaurant.
