Fall In Maine, What Chore Do You Dread?
Fall in Maine means the fun is over. It's back to work, and there's plenty of work to do as we button up and prepare for winter.
When I was a kid I thought that the worst job in the whole wide world must be pulling Pepere's boat out of the lake at the end of summer. It looked wet, cold and there were leeches around the dock-YUCK! Runners up for fall responsibilities that I hate doing include: the swap over of clothes for a family of four, raking leaves and having to pick them up by the armload when I know there is stuff in that pile that I DO NOT want to touch, cleaning gutters that contain gross stuff, stacking wood, cleaning and closing up camp.
