They say never forget where you come from and Chef Bobby Marcotte certainly hasn't ever forgotten.

Bobby Marcotte grew up in New Hampshire

Before becoming best friends with Guy Fieri and appearing on Guy's various Food Network shows like Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Guy's Grocery Games, and most recently the Tournament of Champions II, Bobby was born and raised in Derry, New Hampshire and graduated from Pinkerton Academy as a member of the Class of 2000.

When you think of the placement of all of Bobby's current restaurants, Tuckaway Tavern & Butchery in Raymond, New Hampshire, and two of Durham, New Hampshire's favorite spots, hop + grind and rise + grind, there's one thing in common -- they're all based in Bobby's home state of New Hampshire.

But now, Bobby is finally bringing it back to his hometown.

Last Wednesday night, Bobby posted the above to his Facebook page, announcing that he's bringing "something back home to (his) roots" after the Derry Planning and Zoning Board gave Bobby the stamp of approval for what Bobby says is "HUGE!!!" And while he didn't exactly say what was happening, he left us plenty of clues.

Backyard Brewery

When Bobby posted his "HUGE!!!" new venture to Facebook, there were a lot of references to Backyard Brewery in his post, between using them in a hashtag, tagging them in his post, as well as having a fresh brew poured into a Backyard Brewery glass in the picture. He made it pretty obvious that it was some sort of collaboration, but we didn't exactly know what, until Backyard Brewery broke their silence last Thursday.

🚨HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT!🚨 After 4 years of incredible support from the Manchester community, Backyard Brewery is adding a new location to focus on beer! We can’t wait to share more about this exciting new chapter, but for now we just want to say thank you to everyone for always supporting Backyard, we couldn’t have done this with out the support of all of you! More to come soon!!!!

The Grindhouse is coming to Derry, NH

While there's no grand opening date or even groundbreaking date set yet, what is known is that Bobby Marcotte and Backyard Brewery's collaboration will be known as The Grindhouse (or, according to the Union Leader, Grindhouse Meat Co. and Backyard Brewery and Tasting Room). The plan is for The Grindhouse to cover six acres off of Crystal Avenue in Derry, stretching out behind McDonald's, Gibbs gas station, and T-Bones.

According to the Destination Derry, NH Facebook page, The Grindhouse will include a butcher shop, restaurant, brewery and tasting room, along with a shared dining and patio area. Bobby wasn't lying when he said this will be "HUGE!!!" -- and it's likely something Derry and even surrounding New Hampshire towns have never seen before.

You know Bobby's restaurants have appeared on 'Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives,' but here are some others

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
