Guinness World Record Attempt: 2,129 Whoopie Pies in Portland

The Portland Sea Dogs dropped a picture on Facebook that I could not look away from!

Let's talk WHOOPIE, babes!

To qualify for the Guinness Book of World Records is not an easy feat!

You have to have a lot time, patience and put forth a ton of effort. And that is exactly what the folks at the Sea Dogs did with help from WICKED WHOOPIES!, Maine Whoopie Pie, Trademark Federal Credit Union Festival!

The record was for the most whoopie pies in a consecutive line and they were able to collect 2,129 pies stretched to 665 feet. WOW!

They are awaiting to see if they officially made it and we all hope they did!

Whoopie pies hold great importance to the state of Maine and have become an iconic treat that is deeply rooted in our culinary culture.

If you've been hiding under a rock these desserts consist of two cake-like cookies that that are sandwiched together and have creamy goodness in the middle!

Even if they don't make the record, we are all so proud!
