Another reason to be thankful this Thanksgiving is that Martha Stewart is out of the pokey. As much as I love to cook, I am not a baker. So I turn to my mentor for ways to present a stunning pecan pie. She has not failed me. I have personally watched it twice and now I'm ready to become a competitive baker. The filling of my pie might come from a can, the crust itself from the refrigerator case next to the margarine- but no one will know when they see my fancy-pants pecan pie hogging the spotlight and stealing the thunder from even the perfectly cooked turkey.
