How Many Mainers Are Over 100 Years Old?
According to the 2010 US Census, there were 298 Mainers over 100 years old. However, we think that number has probably gone UP as the total number of centenarians in the USA has gone from 53,000 folks in 2010 to more than 90,000 in 2020.
Dorris Farrar was Maine's oldest citizen for many years. Doris, from Freeport, passed away in 2018. Just think what all of these centenarians have seen in their 100 years!
