The Foo Fighters are coming to Bangtown...

Man, it feels good just to say that out loud. Bangor gets its fair share of big shows in the northeast, but having Dave Grohl and his band of merry men come to Bangor is just insane. Sure, Bangor sees country acts of this magnitude occasionally, but this is pretty much rock royalty coming to Maine's Queen City on Wednesday, July 27, 2022.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public this Friday, December 3, for the big show at the newly re-named Maine Savings Amphitheater, formerly known as the Darling's Waterfront Pavillion. It's unclear at this time what ticket prices will look like, but I guarantee this show will sell out in minutes, no question.

The second question on everyone's minds...

Who's the opener?! No idea on that yet either. But based on past history, it will not be some schlub. It will likely be one of the top up-and-coming acts around. It'd have to be. Not just anyone can get up on a stage and warm up a Foo's crowd. It won't be like Kiss over the summer, with some dude making finger paintings on stage. (To be fair, that guy is amazing and super talented.)

The Foo Fighters haven't performed in Maine since 2000 when they came here as the opening act for the Chili Peppers. It's probably been a minute since the Foos have opened for anybody. So this will be a fitting return to the Pine Tree State.

It takes a lot to actually get me full-on excited for a rock show these days, but this one just may do it. Seeing a band this huge in Bangor will be a treat and a half. So get your "buy now" fingers ready for Friday morning. You're going to heat up your phone or your laptop trying to get tickets before they're gone. Good luck!
