I Can’t Give Up My Knee Scooter. What Have You Borrowed and Not Wanted to Return?
Having a broken ankle and recovering from surgery was definitely a drag, but the silver lining was zooming around on my knee scooter. It even has a basket! I found it to be both fun and useful. This is a picture I took while preparing to make breakfast. I stopped at the refrigerator for food, cabinet for a plate and a drawer for utensils. I was hobbling on crutches and depending on everyone to bring me anything that needed carrying until my brother brought me this sweet ride. It enabled me to pick up a little bit on the first floor, made letting the dog out easier and provided me with the thrill of movement and speed! Even though I am now walking and driving, I'm having a hard time letting go of the scooter.
It was a lot of fun, but I know that I have to give it back.
