These Popular Restaurants Serve the Cheapest Meals in Maine, New Hampshire, & Massachusetts

These days, because of the state of the economy, it seems like everyone is looking for a deal.

Let's face it, though, this has always been the case. It may seem more prevalent because everyone is talking about it, but no one on a budget (which is basically all of us) has ever said, "Let me see if I can find something a little more expensive."

Three of the Cheapest Restaurants in New England

Cheapism recently put out a list of the cheapest restaurants in each state.  One of the things that stuck out most to us is that they're not all hole in the wall diners.  Their list contains a variety of restaurant types.  These include Mexican restaurants, Thai places,  and BBQ joints.

Of course, we're highlighting the three in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.

Maine - Taco Escobarr

Located on Congress Street in Portland, the food and drinks at this Mexican restaurant are great.  They are also very affordable.  You can get a soft taco for only $4 and a burrito for only $10.  Check out the Taco Escobarr menu HERE.

New Hampshire - The Red Arrow

In business for over a century, the Red Arrow has become known as the place to meet political candidates.  Yes, because New Hampshire has the nation's first primary, every presidential candidate makes a stop at the notorious 24-hour diner.  While the original is located in Manchester, there are three other locations throughout the state.  Learn more from the restaurant chain's website.

Massachusetts - El Sarape

Located in Braintree, this restaurant has been noted as having one of the most authentic Mexican food menus in the country.  The Cheapism article explains that, while much of the dinner menu is pricey, there are some affordable options.  Take a look at the menu HERE.
