Police Continue to Search For Missing Brunswick Maine Woman
If you were planning to hit the trails in Brunswick this weekend, you’ll want to make other plans.
According to an article on the WMTW website, the Brunswick Parks and Recreation Department says sections of the Town Commons will be closed Saturday and Sunday while crews continue searching for a missing woman. The effort to find 56-year-old Rebecca Dorr is being led by the Maine Warden Service, with help from multiple search and rescue teams, including K-9 units and snowmobile crews.
Officials say Dorr was last seen at her Maine Street home sometime between the afternoon of January 25 and the morning of January 26.
The closures include trails on the west side of Route 123, along with parts of the Perimeter Trail on the east side between the Wilson Street gate and the Merriconeag Road parking lot.
Parks and Recreation officials are urging the public to stay off those trails for now, explaining that additional foot traffic could disrupt the scent tracking efforts being used by search dogs.
Authorities haven’t released many new details about the ongoing search.
It’s worth noting this isn’t the first time Dorr has gone missing—she disappeared back in August 2025 and was eventually located safely in a wooded area after nearly three days.
